An angel keeps watch over a field of graves, holding a single rose, eyes raised past the cross toward a sky that has turned the wrong color. In the old texts the angels of the end arrive to announce, to count, to close the book. This one waits, as if the announcement has already been made and no one noticed.

Printed at the scale of an altarpiece and saturated until the stone reads as signal, so the figure sits between relic and broadcast. The method of the whole group: guardians and warnings from a much older visual language, set back down in a present that keeps rehearsing its own ending and still looks up for help.
