Illuminated Berries

Berries that glow. Bioluminescence spliced into fruit is not a fantasy — the technique existed while I was making these — and the first application of any new biology is decoration.
Drawn as a specimen plate, lit from inside, the object is genuinely beautiful, which is the trap. This series is about how completely engineered life arrives dressed as nature.
