Star Fruit

Star fruit already looks engineered — five ribs, a perfect section, a shape that reads as a design decision rather than an inheritance. It needed almost no help to become a specimen.
That's the premise of this group. Drawn tightly enough to pass for a botanical plate, the thing sits in the uncertain register where authored life lives: plausible, catalogued, and no longer anybody's birthright.
