The Prism of Narcissism

A prism takes one beam and splits it into a spectrum. Narcissism does the same thing with attention: everything arriving gets refracted into versions of the self and comes out the other side looking like variety.
Drawn a few years before the mechanism became the primary architecture of public life, though it was already fully operational.
