Three and a third inches square: the actual size of a matchbook, drawn at the scale of the thing it imitates. Small enough to hold in one hand, and a promise nobody has ever been able to keep at any size.
Colored pencil takes as long per square inch regardless of the total, so a miniature is not a quick drawing. Spending that time on the least reliable sentence in the language seemed proportionate.
