The Hands That Bind

Propaganda has a grammar, and hands are most of its vocabulary: raised, clasped, joined in the emblem of solidarity. The same gesture that unites people is the gesture that ties them.
Drawn in the flat bold color that grammar demands, the image keeps the form and redirects the message. What binds us here is not a party or a program — it's the arrangement itself, and it holds whether or not we consent.
