The Time is Now

Every movement says this, and it is only ever true once. I made this the year after the crash, when both sides of the seam holding the country together were coming apart at the same moment.
I'd gone down to the Wall Street protests a few times; what I remember is the brokers at the windows above, entirely unfazed, looking down. The drawing takes the urgency of the poster form seriously and aims it somewhere the ballot box cannot reach.
The bear comes from The Tao of Pooh, where Hoff reads Winnie as a Taoist sage. Urgency is the one thing he has never felt; putting him under this slogan lets the two cancel.
